Atz Lee Kilcher Wiki-bio, Age, Wife, Children, and Accident update.

Atz Lee Kilcher is the black sheep in the Kilcher family. The youngest of the Kilcher sons, Atz Lee takes his name form his father Atz Kilcher. But unlike Atz Kilcher, Atz Lee struggled to find a place for himself in the homestead and wanted a life away from the jungle. So, he took rounds touring the world with his trust guitar by his side. However, after a decade or so of living as nomads, Atz Lee finally realized his place was right in the homestead. He is now back in Alaska and has been living there since.

Early Life:

Atz Lee Kilcher was born on the 26th of August 1977, in Homer, Alaska. Born to Atz Kilcher and Leandra Caroll, he was born and raised in the homestead, unlike his brother Shane. His parents divorced when Atz Lee was quite young and the impact was huge on Atz Lee. His father was physically and verbally abusive against all of his children. But for all his flaws, Atz taught his youngest son the ins and outs of life and also taught him music and guitar.

Leaving Homestead:

After a disturbing childhood coupled with blows and torrents of verbal abuse, Atz Lee left the homestead and began touring around the world. A singer by profession, Atz Lee played bars for a living and was mostly on the road. After living like a nomad for about two decades, Atz Lee realized that he always belonged in the homestead and made the long journey back home.

Married Life and Children:

Upon making the trip back to the homestead, Atz Lee settled down with Jane Kilcher. The pair have two lovely children, Etienne and Piper, but we don’t get to see the kids on the show. Jane joined the show in September of 2018 but posted a note to her fans that her kids won’t be appearing on the show. As the show progressed, fans started noticing how the kids were not making an appearance on the show.

Accident update on Atz Lee Kilcher:

In 2015, Atz Lee suffered a horrible hiking accident in the woods of Alaska. His wife, Jane, revealed the news on Facebook.

“Atz Lee Kilcher, an experienced hiker, suffered a terrible fall when hiking in Otter Cove. His injuries included a broken arm, a broken shoulder, broken ankle, a broken hip, crushed ribs and two punctured lungs… It will be a challenging and long road to recovery for Atz Lee and the family appreciates everyone’s good thoughts at this challenging time.”

Life in the homestead:

Unlike most of the typical homesteaders, Atz Lee depends on hunting for his living. He solely relies on hunting and is responsible for supplying meat to the family. While Atz Lee admits that the lifestyle has a huge risk, he would have it no other way. Similar to Atz Lee, his wife is a commercial fisherwoman and supplies the family with fish every year. While Atz Lee has been accepting of the risk of the homestead way of life, he understands how the winter in Alaska is difficult.
