Mountain Monsters William “Wild Bill” Neff Wiki-bio, Career, Net worth

There is a reason why William Neff is best known by his nickname, Wild Bill. The loudest guy on set, Neff is a tough-as-nails kind of guy who is just about ready to take on anyone and anything. A former US Marine, Neff never imagined that he would be making an appearance on reality TV. But as fate would have it, not only did Neff make an appearance in reality TV but he also became one of the most beloved and popular characters of the franchise. In this article, we will take a closer look at the wiki-bio of William Neff.

Early Life:

Born and raised in Clay County, West Virginia, Neff has revealed very little about his early life and prefers to keep his private life away from his work life. Will joined the US Marine Corps just eight days after high school graduation and began his training soon after. Over the years, Will served his country all over the world and was stationed in Thailand, Japan, and the Philippines. He quit the marine corps after six years and landed a stable job back home.

Mountain Monsters:

By the time Neff was asked to make an appearance in Mountain Men, he already had a stable job, which he had been doing for 27 years. However, things changed when the producers of Mountain Monsters came calling. Talking about his casting call, Neff revealed that it was the producers who called him.

“They called me. They wanted to come interview me. They wanted someone who was hyper, had a lot of energy and was tough as nails so they called West Virginia Trappers Association who said ‘we know just the person.’”

To say Neff’s interview went well would be a massive understatement as he began receiving calls from the executive producers 30-minutes after the interview.

“It wasn’t 30 minutes and they were calling me back. Thirty minutes and they wanted me to sign a six-year contract. I told them ‘no, no, no.’ So, I signed a two-year contract and it’s been five years and I’m still here. Evidently, I am doing something right.”

Since then, Neff has featured regularly on the show and is proud to be a part of reality TV. He also revealed that the cast members shared a special brotherhood which was in full display when John Tice passed away in 2019. And while Neff’s work on Mountain Monsters has been spot on, he credits his fans for helping the show reach the heights of where it is today.

“This wouldn’t be the number one show if it wasn’t for our fans. Any time I can get a chance to come out and meet and greet the fans, tell them I appreciate them and let them see who I am and what I am about, I try to do that.”

Personal Life:

While Bill is presumed to be happily married, he has not revealed any details about his wife and children. Bill does not have any social media profiles and is not a huge fan of the internet. In an interview in 2017, Bill revealed that he was married and his family lived in Nicholas County.
