Rayan Reynolds

While we look into the casting of this movie Rayan Reynolds became the first cast who was confirmed for the role of adult Adam Reed in the movie. Reynolds “The Adam Project” Became his 4th official movie with Netflix Original as he has already done a movie like Red Notice, 6 Underground and it has been confirmed that he will produce and star in the adaptation of the video game Dragon’s Lair.

Mark Alan Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner

Mark Alan Ruffalo is another Marvel Cast joining Reynolds along with Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldanya. Mark is playing the role of Adam’s father where he will be sharing the screen with Jennifer Garner who will be portraying his wife’s role. Mark and Jennifer are back after 18 years on the set together since they were on the movie “13 Going on 30.” Mark Ruffalo has already been featured in the hit movies like The Avengers (2012), Iron Man 3 (2013), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Captain Marvel (2019), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and many more. While talented Jennifer Garner has appeared in the movies like 13 Going on 30(2004), Elektra(2005), The Kingdom(2007), Arthur(2011), Men, Women & Children(2014), Nine Lives(2016), Yes Day(2021) and many more.

Walker Scobell is making his acting debut in this movie as a young Adam whose work and talent have impressed many as a result of which he is making his appearance in the upcoming superhero movie called “Secret Headquarters”.

Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana will also portray her role in this movie, who is famous for her work in the Marvel movies as Gamora, one of the members of The Guardians of the Galaxy. She has booked her role as Neytiri in the Avatar film series which was amazing. Movies like Avatar, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame made her the second-highest-grossing film actress of all time as of 2019.

So far the role of Zoe Saldana, Catherine Keener, and Alex Mallari Jr. is not revealed yet alongside other actors too.

Netflix took over the film from Paramount, where it was initially written by T.S. Nowlin, and Tom Cruise was announced to star, under the title “Our Name is Adam” in October 2012. 

The film was brought to life in July 2020 when Netflix decided to own it, with Shawn Levy as director and Ryan Reynolds set to star. The Adam Project Filming began in November of 2020 and wrapped in March 2021.

Coming to the movie story “The Adam project” is a time-traveling Si-Fi, comedy movie. In this movie, A time-traveling mysterious pilot i.e adult Adam teams up with his younger self i.e young Adam, and his late father to come to terms with his past while saving the future.

After 1 year of his fathers’ death, 13-year-old Adam was grieving in the garage where he found a wounded pilot who was hiding there. This pilot turns out to be the older version of himself from the future, where time travel is in its infancy. The pilot reveals that he has risked everything to come back in time on a secret mission. Together they began on an adventure into the past to find their father, set things right, and save the world. Adding challenge into the mission both Adams are repulsive to each other even though they bind together to complete their mission resulting in a secure future. 

Confirmed Release Date of The Adam Project?

So far we came to know about movie casts, history, and story, now let us look into the brighter side, when is its release date..? 

According to the production team the majority of the movie shoot happened in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The filming part took place between the 18th of November 2020 to 8th of March 2021. Since then the inside job is being taken care of by The Adam Project team. Finally, the much-awaited movie is coming out in 2022 on Friday, March 11, 2022, on Netflix. To date, the company has not posted any official trailer of the movie so we assume that soon they will release the trailer of the action/thriller movie and the countdown begins now…
