The Kilcher family is known for their homestead way of life. From Yule Kilcher’s historical contribution in the Alaskan state constitution to the new generation of Kilchers homesteaders, the life of the Kilcher family has been documented in the reality TV series, Alaska: The Last Frontier. In this article, we will take a closer look at the Kilcher family tree.

Yule Kilcher:

The oldest of the Kilchers, Yule Kilcher began the homestead way of life after he escaped from the Nazis. After making the trip to Alaska, Yule was given around 300-hectares by the government for settlement. He tied the knot to Ruth Webber and the pair had eight children, two sons, Atz Kilcher, Otto Kilcher, and six daughters Wurtilla Hepp, Fay Graham, Catkin Kilcher Burton, Stellavera Kilcher, Mossy Kilcher, and Sunrise Sjoberg.

Atz Kilcher:

The eldest of the eight Kilcher Children, Atz Kilcher was born on September 2, 1947. He developed an early interest in music and was inspired by his mother Ruth to take up the guitar. He tied the knot with Lenedra Carroll and the pair had three children. Shane, Atz Lee, and Jewel Kilcher. Atz and Leandra divorced after the birth of their kids and Atz turned into an abusive father. He was in a relationship with Linda and had a son with her, Nikos Kilcher. Atz is currently married to Bonnie Dupree and the pair have been together for over two decades.
Of the three kids of Atz Kilcher, Shane, and Atz Lee sought to continue their father’s legacy and are currently living in the homestead. Jewel, on the other hand, moved away from the family and is a Grammy-winning artist.

Shane Kilcher:

Born on the 5th of May, 1971, Shane Kilcher is the eldest son of Atz Kilcher and Lenedra Carroll. He tied the knot with his high school sweetheart Kelli Ware Kilcher and the pair have four kids together, Keena Tarik, Jareth, Reid, and Jenna Kilcher.

Atz Lee Kilcher:

Shane’s brother, Atz Lee Kilcher left the homestead way of life during his teenage years. After touring around the states with his guitar, Atz Lee returned home and tied the knot with Jane Kilcher. The pair have two children, Etienne Kilcher and Piper.

Otto Kilcher:

The second of Yule and Ruth’s son, Otto Kilcher was born in 1952. Akin to his siblings, Otto spent most of his life in the homestead and learned the skills needed to be successful in the homestead way of living. A master of fixing anything and everything mechanical, Otto developed an interest in the mechanical side of things from an early age. He first tied the knot with Olga Von Ziegesar but called things off. From his marriage to Sharon Mackemie, Otto had two sons Eivin and Levi Kilcher. Otto is now married to his third wife Charlotte Kilcher, and the pair have a son August Kilcher.

Eivin Kilcher:

Born to Otto and Sharon Mackemie, Eivin Kilcher just lives half a mile from Otto’s homestead. Like his father, Eivin is the jack of all trades. He tied the knot with Eve Matkins and the pair have two children, Farenorth Kilcher (born on November 24, 2013) and Sparrow Rose Kilcher (Born on September 28, 2015).
