Mountain Monster Willy McQuillian: Wiki-Bio, Career, Divorce, Net worth

With John Tice gone, it falls upon Willy to make sure that the traps are set accurately and land something. Since John’s passing away, Willy has assumed the position of the primary trapper of the group and has displayed the full set of skills at his disposal. One of the first three members of AIMS, Willy has learned from Trapper Tice all his life. Willy continued his run with the series Mountain Monsters and displayed the full range of his abilities in the sixth season of the show. In this article, we will take a closer look at the wiki-bio of Willy McQuillian.

Early Life of Willy McQuillian:

Not much is known about Willy’s early life. The trapper was born and raised in Saint Marys, West Virginia, and followed his father into hunting. From his early years, Willy excelled at hunting and trapping. After learning the basics from his father, Willy ventured further into the mountains perfecting his skills. Little is known as to how and where Willy met John and how he began working with AIMS. As one of the original three members to establish AIMS, we are sure Willy and Tice go way back.

Mountain Monsters:

Willy McQuillian was cast on Mountain Monsters alongside John “Trapper” Tice and Jeff Headlee. The trio made their first appearance in the first season of the show and was recently seen in the 6th season. A man of the hour, Willy helps the team by laying traps and making sure that they catch something. While Willy idles during the day, he is active during the night and is busy setting out traps. As someone who has hunted all his life, making and setting traps comes as second nature for Willy. Willy also makes sure that the group has an emergency food supply when needed.

A new responsibility:

Willy has assumed the post as the show’s primary trapper since the 6th season. After Tice fell seriously ill in 2019, Willy had to cover up for his friend and make sure that the number of traps did not decrease. While Willy had to take some time to get used to not having Tice around him, he has since stepped up his game. The sixth season displayed the full range of skills from hunting to tracking and trapping.

Personal Life of Willy McQuillian:

Akin to his early life, Willy McQuillan has revealed very little about his personal life and is not a huge fan of giving interviews. He does not like talking about himself and maintains a safe distance from the camera unless he is shooting. Willy was happily married to Bonita Rymer. The pair met during their high school years at St. Marys High School in Virginia. The pair made their separate path before nearing nearly four decades as a married couple. In their time together, the pair has a single daughter, Whitney McQuillian.

While Mountain Monsters has been plagued with accusations of being fake throughout its run time, Willy and his tracking skills are very much real.
