The newest addition to the reality TV series, Swamp People, Don Brewer is just the enigmatic and energetic character the show needed. As his bio reads, Don Brewer has been beaten by just about anything that lives in the swamp, from a beaver, skunk, snake, to a raccoon. A man of few words:

Not much is known about Don Brewer, and the man is not a huge fan of giving interviews. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Don comes from a family of hunters and learned the tricks of the trade when he was quite young. As far as academia goes, Don graduated from the Canadian High School and continued his higher education at Eastern Oklahoma State College. Following his graduation in 1990, Don began hunting alongside his father and grandfather. During his early years, Don picked the skills required to succeed as a gator hunter and has been solo-hunting ever since.

TV series:

While most of the stars appearing in Swamp People rose to fame only due to Swamp People, Don has been out and about. A man of the swamp, Don began his gator hunting journey in the swamps of Oklahoma and is stationed there to date. Before making an appearance on the 11th season of Swamp People, Don was working on another discovery series, Mud Cats. The series followed the decade-long practice of hand-fishing for giant flathead catfish. While the show ended after two seasons i.e. from 2012-2013, Don was able to establish himself as one of the most competitive and able hand-fishers in all of Oklahoma.

After leaving the set of Mudcats, Don continued his work hunting gators and was eventually called up by the executive producers of Swamp People. Don, who had already worked with the network, had an easy transition and was cast on the 11th season of the series. As one of the newest cast members of the series, Don joins a list that includes Aaron lee, Brock Theriot, and “Little” Willie Edwards, as the debutants of the 11th season. The sole gator hunter in Oklahoma, Don has little to no competition save for the gators.

Personal Life:

Akin to his early life, Don has revealed very little about his personal life. The man doesn’t like talking much and does all the talking with his hunts. He is married to his long-time girlfriend Michelle Austin Brewer, and the pair have been together for a decade or so. Don has never revealed if he has any children. The couple lives in Oklahoma.

When he is not tagging gators, Don can be found riding mountain bikes or mud trucks. Don is also the owner of Katt Daddy’s Cove and also doubles down as a Master Plumber at Don’s Plumbing Inc.
