The ultimate racer, Daddy Dave has held the title of “King of the Street” for quite a while. After usurping the title from Murder Nova in around 2005/06, Dave has established himself as one of Oklahoma’s finest racers. Over the years, Dave has been synonymous with the street racing scene in Oklahoma and has led the street racers alongside Big Chief, JJ Da Boss, and Murder Nova. Dave is also known for his appearances in the reality TV series Street Outlaws. A regular cast member of the series, Dave has known the street ever since he was young. In this article, we will take a closer look at the wiki-bio of Daddy Dave.
David Comstock was born on the 4th of April 1973, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Born to Marge and Peter Comstock, David was interested in cars from a young age and obtained his driving license at the age of 16. However, he lacked the money to buy his first car and started his career with his parents’ 1978 Chevrolet Impala.
Setting out on the street:
Even though David had an underperforming car, he started winning races swiftly and established himself as one of the prominent racers in Oklahoma. He soon grew out of his 1978 Chevrolet Impala and bought a 1996 GMC Sonoma S10 pick-up truck. His friendship with Justin Shearer saw him appear on the series, Street Outlaws. Ever since his first appearance in 2013, Dave has established himself as the King of the Streets and has also developed a friendly rivalry with Shawn. Since his first appearance in 2013, Dave has worked with the series for around 13 seasons and continues to be an integral part of it.
“As we start filming season 13, we can’t feel anything but thankful. With every season that passes we always think it’s the last one. But here we are seven years later and 13 seasons into the show, and we are still going strong.”
Daddy Dave Accidents:
In 2015, Dave was involved in a fatal accident which nearly took his life. Luckily, Dave escaped the crash with a broken shoulder, severe lung bruising, and heavy concussion. Talking about the accident, Dave’s wife revealed,
“Scan came back good. He has a serious concussion, a bruised lung, and plenty of bumps and bruises. Still doesn’t remember anything that happened. He is finally resting in his own room for at least the next 24 hours. We cannot thank everyone enough for the thoughts and prayers! I am thankful to have my husband alive! I’m sure he will be back, just need time to heal and go from there!”
Following the crash, Dave did not return to the track for two years and parted ways with his promoter. His first car was destroyed in the crash and was beyond repair. After the crash, Dave built a new car right from scratch and named it Goliath 2.0.
Daddy Dave is happily married to his wife Cassie Comstock and the pair have been together since March of 2013. As of 2020, the pair have two lovely daughters and are living in Oklahoma.
